In between all the food we played some games, including a very competitive round of 'move the chick peas from one bowl to another using only a straw' - not sure if it has a shorter name than that ;). Here are Rob and Jill in their first-round heat:

The ongoing girls/boys battle ended as a draw on the night - 2 games won by the girls, and 2 by the boys - but the boys are still ahead overall at 3-2. Not for long though - the girls will storm ahead next time ;).

I think that's officially called the Pea Sucking Championships - or in this case the Chick Pea.
I forgot to tell you before, but you didn't make it difficult enough.
You're supposed to transfer the peas into a tall glass, so that you actually have to lift them up, as well as moving them sideways!!
